How to Make Money With Affiliate Marketing at Amazon

This article is about affiliate marketing with Amazon. I’ll tell you why I think it’s the best program available today. Then you’ll know why I don’t recommend ClickBank or Commission Junction.

What is Amazon? Amazon is a giant online retail store that sells everything. They have hundreds of thousands of products in dozens of different niches. So, if you want to make money as an affiliate marketing for Amazon, you have to make sure you choose a niche that has products in that niche.

There are two affiliate marketing programs at Amazon, and they are called Associate Program and the link exchange. When you join as an affiliate, you will be given a referral fee by Amazon. The referrer doesn’t have to make a purchase. Instead, the affiliate marketer earns a commission from every sale the referrer makes on their behalf. The reason this affiliate program is referred to as the “Associates Program” is because the marketer only has to make sure they market particular products in their niche.

After they are accepted into the program, they are sent a cookie window. Every time someone clicks on their affiliate links, they will earn a commission. But, the really cool thing about this process is that there are no sales people involved. The referring customer acts like a salesperson for Amazon, passing along the associate links to their own website. Amazon calls this a “Cookie Window”.

In order to join the Amazon Associates Program, you will need an affiliate account. You can create your own affiliate account or go through an affiliate network such as ClickBank or Commission Junction. After you have an account set up, the next step is to search for niches. Since there are literally millions of potential niches, you will want to narrow it down as much as possible before you begin your affiliate marketing for Amazon.

When creating your affiliate account, make sure that you choose a niche with a high payout percentage. One thing that I always check when I am signing up new affiliates is the payout percentage. If the payout is low or non-existent, my advisors quickly tell me to get rid of that affiliate and try a different one. There are plenty of other ways that affiliates can make sure they are getting paid.

When you are working as an affiliate for Amazon, your goal is to bring in referrals. Referrals are the backbone of the affiliate business. If you want to earn a substantial commission, you will need to ensure that your associates are generating traffic to their website. Traffic is the fuel that runs an online business. In order to drive traffic to an affiliate’s website, you will need to invest in content that the public will be interested in reading.

One of the best ways to do this is to submit articles, reviews, blog posts and videos to article directories and social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter. These platforms provide content that the public finds useful. When you refer these individuals to Amazon, you are not just getting paid a commission. You are getting paid for the fact that you are helping to increase the traffic that Amazon’s associates generate by sending them to Amazon’s website.

In order to track this affiliate activity, it is easier to track the activity of each associate. You will need to have an Amazon associate account in order to be able to do this. When an associate has referred a purchase to Amazon, they should see a link or icon in their dashboard that will enable them to collect the information. You will then be able to see the referral fee that Amazon pays out. This fee is in U.S. dollars and does not appear on the associates account until it is due.

The next step in this process is to look at the ClickBank marketplace. ClickBank is similar to Amazon’s online retail site, but it has a much wider range of products. If an associate is referring a product or service from Amazon, but not necessarily a physical product, then ClickBank could provide the source. Because this marketplace collects data from all of its members, you will be able to get a good indication of which products are popular. Popular products are most likely to generate plenty of affiliate clicks. By offering incentives to affiliates that generate a certain amount of click traffic, you can increase your affiliate revenue.

Finally, take a look at the New Customers’ section on the portal of Amazon’s Smileys website. Smileys is a special section that offers information about products, special promotions, and advice for consumers. Associate managers often monitor this section in order to determine which affiliates are generating the most traffic for each niche. By monitoring New Customers, you can see which niches are performing well and which niches may be losing money.
